Flattering fit
I did'nt know what size to get, so ordered 12&14, I am 5ft 3, bust size 36c and the 12 was perfect. I have always found m&co to be generous on sizing. The fabric is known as scuba, this in the skirt which comes to just above my ankle, i am wearing it for my sons wedding in february with a cropped black jacket. All in all pleased with purchase, even better half price.

I ordered this dress after looking for, but somehow failing to notice, previous reviews; one of which mentioned they were a size 14 but had to order a size 18! Needless to say when I found the reviews I wasn't looking forward to having to return this dress and re-order it two sizes up. But I think either MandCo have changed the sizes or that lady is a delusional "size 14" as this fitted me perfectly. Perfectly!
I am 5'9" and the front hem sits just below my knee, with the back hem just above my ankle.
The skirt material is slightly weird - similar to a wetsuit material, a bit spongy. But it does not look or feel odd, and serves really well at keeping the lovely shape of the skirt. It is also good that the internal fabric surface is black, so looks good when you see the inside of the lower back skirt. I have seen some cheaper materials which are white inside and just look awful!
The hem of the skirt is a blunt cut, and is not a sewn hem - but this is due to the material used. It does not look or feel cheap, and the hem was cut straight and clean.
The top is more of a satin feel. I am a 36B, and the cup size is perfect - although a cup size or two up would not feel squished, I'm sure.
I bought this dress for my work's Christmas party where it's 'evening dress' but I feel I could equally wear it at a wedding, or fancy day-do.
Overall I'm very pleased with this dress - particularly as it was in the sale at £39. Bargain!!
FYI I also ordered the plain pink version, which is equally nice, although I preferred the look of this one. The skirt on the pink one is not as thick.

Comes up small and strange skirt fabric
I'm normally buy size 14 from M&Co but had to buy a size 18. The top is a nice strong fabric which is good for the larger bust, but the skirt is a strange stiff/springy fabric.......a bit like printed neoprene.
